Through the valley of the Brtnický stream

  • By bike
  • For beginner walkers
This short, relaxing circuit route goes from Krásná Lípa down the road alongside the River Křinice as far as Kyjov, where you can see some quaint half-timbered houses. By the Na Fakultě restaurant turn right towards the Kyjov valley, one of the most beautiful places in the northern part of Bohemian Switzerland. Ride below Kyjovský hrádek, past the Vinný sklep cave and continue following the cycle route by the side of the Křinice through the Kyjov valley to the Brtnický bridge. Then head right following cycle route 3032 and go through the beautiful and peaceful valley of the Brtnický stream. You will pass a statue of St. Anthony on the left-hand side, and then on the right the remains of Prostřední mlýn mill, before coming to the picturesque little village of Kopec. You can enjoy some rest and refreshments in the renowned U Oty summer restaurant, formerly known as U Vyskočilů.
Continue through the village of Kopec, passing the beautiful half-timbered houses and the former Rychtářův mlýn mill until you come to Brtníky, where you turn right. Follow the road through the rolling wooded countryside as far as the village of Vlčí Hora. Go through Vlčí Hora and in Zahrady continue following the cycle route, through the abandoned village of Skřivánčí pole and then back to Krásná Lípa.
