Day 1: Path length 18km

Take train (expedient LIBNET ticket) through Liberec or Varnsdorf to Žitava, then narrow-gauge steam train to Jonsdorf resort. Walk through the village (old-style houses, restaurants, cake shops, Butterfly House off the marked path) following an unsigned path to Gondelteich pond, where you will join the marked Hřebenovka pathway, followed-up by climbing the Nun Rocks with a mountain inn, rock stairs and lookout points further. From there walk the Hřebenovka path to the saddleback under Luž  (Wache, paths to Waltersdorf and Horní Sětlá), climb on the Luž mountain (793 m.n.m., the highest mountain of Lužické mountains), along the top to the crossroads Pod Ptačincem, then divert to the so called „Lužická spojka“, climb down to Lesná village, then up to the ruins of Tolštejn castle (viewpoint, restaurant). Can be continued to the top of Jedlová moutain.

Day 2: Path length 17km

Clib down along Lužická spojka through the woods of Lužické mountains and the village of Jedlová, a choice of lunch in the close vicinity of Chřibská railway station, at the Relax boarding house (a tiny bit off the path). In Rybniště village (station building, a european watershed, exit to the back part of Bohemian Switzerland) walk up onto Karlova výšina with its beautiful view of Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland from the rock tops, further down across a forest crossroad Vápenka to Kamenná Horka (beautifully landscaped village with underbuilt cottages and viewpoints) and climb down to Krásná Lípa, the center of Bohemian Switzerland. Accommodations available there (look up the recommendations below), possible visit of the Křinice brewery (local beer Falkenštejn). Local sports areal offers tennis, climbing wall, volleyball (outside or inside), sauna, massages, gym and bowling in Liparesrot resort.

Day 3: Path length 11km

Viewing the exhibition in the House of Bohemian Switzerland (Krásná Lípa town's square)

The path continues along Kögler's nature trail, by the miniature ruins of Krásný Dub castle, crossing the mountain village of Sněžná (a small but beautiful arboretum can be found close by) to Vlčí Hora (the edge of Lužické mountains, exit to the Bohemian Switzerland rocks). Possible visit to the local natural cosmetics factory Nobilis Tilia in the middle of Vlčí Hora village (shop, tea room during the summer season, garden). A climb up follows to the top of Vlčí hora mountain with a lookout (opan daily during summer season, weekends-only during winter). From there a beautiful view of the so called „Lužický break“ - a boarding area between the Lužické mountains with its volcanic hills, and the „sunken“ sandstone landscape of Bohemian Switzerland, torn by gorges and ravines. Climb down then to the lovely village of Brtníky. We recommend a visit to the local infocenter, hosting a mineralogical exhibition Amethyst. Departure from Brtníky railway station via touristic train for Rumburk (Saturdays, Sundays, holiday). During weekdays bus only.
