Děčín – Chřibská station – Dolní Chřibská – Infocenter Saula – Kyjov – Zadní Doubice – Hinterhermdsdorf – Licchtenhainer Wasserfall – Bad Schandau – Krippen – Dolní Žleb – Děčín
Beautiful bordercrossing trip with slopes prevailing, using train in the part from Děčín to Chřiská station. Includes going through narrow roads, ravines and reasorts of Bohemian Sqitzerland. Also possible to use a ferry from Dolní Žleb across the river Elbe.
Starting in Děčín, ride the train to Chřibská. From the station in Chřibská ride downhill through a forest and completely through the village to Dolní Chřibská, through forests following the road to infocenter Saula. Next comes a slow uphill ride to Doubice, then to Kyjov. We follow the cycleway no. 3032 through Kyjovské údolí (Kyjov valley) to Zadní Doubice (village), crossing the line there with German guideposts on an asphalt road to Hinterhermsdorf (a steep uphill ride comes at this part, about 1 km long).
We continue down the road towards Bad Schandau. Many seasonal inns appear there during our pass through Křinice, which have been rebuilt from original mills – also all the places offer short hiking opportunities – for example rock gate Kuhstall. We pass by Lichtenhainer Waterfall, a famous touristic site, arriving to Bad Schandau, where we either cross the bridge to the left Elben shore and follow the cycleway Elbradweg against the stream, or we can continue from Bad Schandau against the stream, taking a new cycleway to Postelwitz, where a ferry takes us to Krippen on the left Elbe shore, from there we join the Elbradweg cycleway, passing through Dolní Žleb, Prostřední Žleb and Horní Žleb back to Děčín.
