Stone stele (Janov)

This unusual, listed Baroque sandstone stele has been restored in a garden in Janov. The lavishly decorated stone plinth, with its several lines of inscription, commemorates the unfortunate death of a young child, who was shot on 29. 7. 1705. According to part of the inscription hidden under the ground, the four-year-old child that died was Johan Schubert, not ten-year-old Johana Schubertová, as the archive records claimed.
