Nový Bor - Glassmaking Museum

The museum is situated in the city center in an empiric house, built by local glassmerchant Jan Kryštof Socher in 1804. The exhibition focuses on stylish and technological development of Bohemian glass from the 17th to 20th century. You can find models of glassmaking workships here also, showing an insight at the difficulty of glassmaking and decorating. Business hours: April – October (Tue – Sun) - 9:00 – 12:00, 13:00 – 17:00 November – March (Tue – Sun) - 9:00 – 12:00, 13:00 – 16:00 Mondays always closed. Parking free, directly in front of the building, for cars and busses.
