An isolated settlement and tourist destination situated in the middle of the forests by the road from Hřensko to Vysoká Lípa; an administrative part of Hřensko.
The original houses were only those related to the administration and management of the estate - the oldest one was a gamekeeper’s house built in 1794. The current Mezní Louka Hotel was built by Prince Edmund Clary-Aldringen in 1892 to be used as a boarding house and climatic spa resort. In the early 20th century there were projects regarding the utilisation of the local springs. The village is the starting point of the most popular hiking trail – that leading to the Pravčice Gate (Pravčická brána) or the gorges of the Kamenice.
