Jedlová (tower)

The 774 metres high hill of Jedlová in the Lusatian Mountains is the highest spot of the Region of Ústí nad Labem on the right-hand bank of the Elbe. A lookout tower was built here in 1891 by the German Mountaineering Association. The lookout deck situated 23 metres above the surrounding terrain can be accessed via 123 stairs; add another 6 metres for the spiked wooden extension. Reconstructed together with the tower in the 1990s, the chalet built next to the tower is open all year long.
